Greetings from the NewAge team!
As we stride into the last month of the year, let us reflect on the progress made in the year and be filled with gratitude for all the blessings we have received in this year. Let us end the year on a positive note with fresh plans and hopes for the coming year. We at NewAge shall continue to strive for excellence and look for better ways in our wish to ‘set the child free’. Do join hands with us in this incredible pursuit.
We have the next Open House coming up in December. We expect you to make the best use of this session for the benefit of your child. During the last Open House it was disappointing to note that when we started at 9 am, only three classes had parents and most of the Facilitators were waiting. We request the parents to arrive at least 10 minutes before the allotted time and register before 12 noon as we have to close for lunch.
To make such sessions useful and beneficial to all parents, we have planned to bring few changes. Kindly note the following pertaining to meetings during Open House:
1. The three hour duration of Open House will be divided into two or three different time slots as per the roll numbers and we will be informing you to come within that period to avoid wastage of time of both parents and teachers. In the cases of two siblings getting two different slots, we can allow them to come for both in either of the slots, but with prior intimation to the office.
2. The maximum time that you can spend with any Grade Facilitator is five minutes.
3. Principal can meet up to 10 parents (on prior appointments) for five minutes during Open House and if the matter requires further discussion, they may take appointment for another day.
Apart from Open House, parents can meet Facilitators on Saturdays and Principal on all working days with prior appointment for a period of not more than 10 minutes.
* Appointment with Facilitators: On 2nd and 4th Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm
* Appointment with the Principal: On any working day from 10 am to 3 pm
Our students had a fulfilling time during their educational trip to Goa and they learnt a lot about history and culture of the region along with some fun-time at the beaches.
Children’s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm, fun & frolic with our Facilitators engaging children in a hilarious presentation of skits, dances and games. They will surely look forward to the next one.
We are extremely happy to share that on 20th November, we successfully conducted Sportivo-2019, an Inter-School Sports meet. Students from 15 reputed schools participated in Football, Tennis, Badminton and Swimming events along with our students. Our Associate Director, the brain behind our NewAge Pre Schools and an able athlete and versatile Tennis player who has played and won in National and International events Mrs. Akshitha B Raj declared the meet open and addressed the gathering and our honourable Chairman, Managing Director & Associate Directors were present throughout the event and awarded medals & certificates to winners.
The month of November is obviously the month of Karnataka and our students celebrated in meaningful ways and were introduced to many important details of our state through various activities and they had an interesting quiz in Kannada on topics pertaining to the history & culture of our state and they displayed their knowledge to the satisfaction of our facilitators. Lots of learning happened through notice board displays and assembly talks and our students who went on the educational trip celebrated Rajyothsava on November 1st in Goa with their teachers.
We wish to bring to the notice of our parents that few of our students don’t follow the rules (sometimes) regarding keeping the premises neat and clean and they tend to throw waste around in the classrooms, corridors and playgrounds. In spite of our best efforts some students continue to be careless about neatness. During our Inter-School events, we noticed the same trend in some students from other schools as well. Though we had placed plenty of waste bins in all venues, they had littered our neatly maintained campus. This made us think how our students behave when they go outside for school events or family events and to any public place. We have decided to improve our teaching and find ways of bringing better awareness on the need to have proper civic sense in each & every child and we request our parents to look for chances to make children conscious of the surroundings and never ever throw waste around. Let us together bring this change in them so that they can help our city to be a better and cleaner place to live. Let them understand that they can dream of living in a beautiful world only when each one of them contributes in making it beautiful and keeping it clean. To begin with kindly involve them in cleaning tasks at home according to their age and do encourage them to keep their things neat and tidy.
If we teach our children to grow up as caring and responsible citizens, they will become ambassadors of change and we can hope to see a better society in future.
